We made a trip to Istanbul to participate in Grid Festival together with great people as Serial Cut, Evan from Nexus, Illia from R/GA or Si Scott.

We did a presentation over there and we had also sometime to walk the city, a huge city. We wish we could stay there for one more week. During our walks we setup an instagram competition between each other. The one that gets more likes, wins. Then we decided to post all of them to our Instagram account (Follow us!).

These are some of the results, and I will reveal my favourite picture at the end of this post.

We love giving workshops, and that is what we did at Elisava School in Barcelona last december. We had the opportunity to share with the students one week working on a film specially done for the presentation event at the end of that week.

Some months ago, Simpl3, an audiovisual collective based in Caracas, invited us to take part of an exhibition about typography, Simple Tipo Gráfica. Their purpose was to enrole 38 artists, both renowned names of the graphic design world but also newcomers and assign each one them one character that they could re-design with total freedom.

We don't normally receive proposals that gives us the opportunity to work with typography and graphic design, so we thought: why not?

We landed number 8 and this is what we came up with:

I consider this book that Teo took me a couple of months ago as the inspiration that never was. Back in the begining of 2012 we worked in the opening titles of a film called Animals. The basic idea on the titles was the intersection between animal and human life, the dangers in between. The photographs by Barbara Norfleet seem like taken from my mind while we were preparing the opening titles but in fact I saw those pictures months later when Teo came from NY with this book in his hands.

These are some of those pictures.

This is something I came across some time ago and I was super amazed by how cool-creepy the idea was and how beautiful-eerie turned out.
